Methi (fenugreek leaves) adds that unmistakable butter chicken note to this deliciously creamy cooking sauce.

Inspired by our travels to India, we use Kashmiri chilli for its mild heat and vibrant flavour. Create traditional butter chicken, coat paneer before baking or frying or use as a base sauce for chickpea curry.

Tasty sauce

This sauce is incredibly tasty, I do wish it was little hotter but that’s a personal preference. My family really enjoyed it and would definitely buy it again.

Best sauce I’ve tried where it doesn’t taste synthetic - mild spice and tangy.

I was excited to see a sauce shop Makhani. I trust the sauce shop, and my preferred brand seems so hard to find atm.
This was really bitter. Not inedible, but extremely disappointing.

Our Special Makhani shouldn't be bitter and usually has a very balanced flavour - I use it regularly at home and (although clearly biased as the owner of Sauce Shop), I really enjoy it!
