Chilli & Hot Sauces

Here at Sauce Shop, we aren't trying to make extreme heat hot sauces; it's just not what we're about. We work to a 1-4 heat scale (mild, medium, hot and very hot), and most of these sauces are at the hot level. This includes fan-favourites like Buffalo Hot Sauce, Pineapple Habanero Hot Sauce and Honey Sriracha Drizzle.

The mildest sauce in this range is our Amarillo Chilli Jam, with a subtle, mellow heat profile. Piri Piri is our medium heat hot sauce - it's fresh, tangy and a great introduction to hot sauce.

Almost all of the sauces in this range are suitable for vegans, with the exception of Honey Sriracha, which features lots of honey in the recipe.

There isn't a right or wrong way to use hot sauce; it's one of the most versatile ingredients in your kitchen. There are two main ways to use it - as an ingredient within a dish or as a finishing move on top of a dish.

As an ingredient, a few drops while cooking can make the dish. If you're cooking a chilli con carne that needs a kick, add in Original Hot Sauce - it's got quite a neutral flavour profile, with only 4 ingredients. If you're making a creamy pasta or mac & cheese, stir in a splash of Buffalo Hot Sauce – the tanginess cuts through the richness and brings the whole thing to life.

Buffalo Hot Sauce is our most popular sauce, and for good reason. It's a creamy, tangy, spicy American-inspired hot sauce that's perfect for chicken wings. It's a little different to the others in our range. While it uses our signature fermented jalapeños, it's got a very different flavour profile from Original Hot Sauce, Honey Sriracha or the other condiments in this range.

Chicken aside, it's great mixed into a mac & cheese, spread in a sandwich, drizzled over pizza or used as a dip for chips. Anything that needs some tangy heat, this is the one to reach for.

Once your sauces arrive, store them in a cool, dry place. Once you've opened them, keep them refrigerated.

All these hot sauces will be delivered with over 12 months' shelf life. For most of our hot sauces, we suggest you use them within 12 weeks once opened. Honey Sriracha should be consumed within 6 weeks, and our chilli jams within 8 weeks.
