Seasonings, BBQ Rubs and Spice Mixes

The best way to use our BBQ spice rubs is to apply before or during cooking. If you’re cooking wings or ribs, sprinkle over and then cook. You can use our seasonings and chilli flakes similar to how often you’d use a condiment, to finish off your dish. If you’ve cooked up some chicken tacos with a nice salsa on top, then sprinkle over some of our Guajillo or Green Jalapeno Flakes just before serving.

These chilli flakes bring loads of flavour to any dishes, but especially Mexican-inspired ones. The Guajillo Chilli is pronounced “Gwa-hiyo”, and is a staple chilli in Mexican cooking, mainly used to make salsas and sauces. We’ve used them because of their rich, bright and smoky flavour profile. They’re mildly spiced, so will add a subtle kick to dishes without overpowering them.

Our House Seasoning is a great all-rounder. Season cooked fries with it, or chicken. Sprinkle over fish or roasted vegetables. Whenever you need a hit of flavour, reach for this. Our Pizza and Pasta Seasoning suits Italian-inspired dishes perfectly. Dust a tasty bowl of pasta with it, or just sprinkle over pizza.

The main difference to mention is the flavour profile of the two types of chilli flakes. Green Jalapeno Flakes are zingy, fresh and bright with a medium spice. Guajillo Chilli Flakes are smoky, sweet, rich with a mild spice.
