BBQ Roasted Chickpeas
These crispy chickpeas are the perfect BBQ snack. Enjoy at any point, particularly as a beer snack. Make them at home in under an hour and with minimal effort, using our Smoky Chipotle BBQ Rub.
Drain your chickpeas and then tip them onto a tray lined with kitchen towel.
Dry them by rubbing them with some more kitchen towel. You’ll start to see some of the skins come off. Continue to remove as many as you can. It will reduce moisture, which makes the chickpeas more crispy when oven baked.
Add dried chickpeas to a bowl, add a little bit of olive oil. Oven bake these for 40 minutes (or until very crispy) at 190C.
Add the crispy chickpeas to a bowl with more olive oil, a good pinch of salt and our Smoky Chipotle BBQ Rub.
Keep tasting and adding more rub, to suit your taste.
Eat right away, or jar them up. They’ll keep for a good amount of time if sealed in a container!
