All of our Great Taste Award winning sauces in one set. A Great Taste Award is a clear marker that a product has been judged to be outstanding in terms of flavour and quality. The judging process is very rigorous and winning these awards is far from guaranteed when entering. In 2017 over 500 judges, including specially trained food writers inputting judges’ comments, came together at 62 judging days from March through to early July. The judges, from all corners of the food world, blind-taste in teams of 3 or 4 ensuring we get a balance of expertise, age and gender.
In total 12,366 products were entered and only a third achieve this accreditation.

'Deep tomatoey flavour, rich and robust. Spot on sweet and sour tang. Very fresh, well balanced, really good ketchup. This is a good sauce!''
'A glossy but 'textural' sauce with an enticing clove-scented aroma. Sweet and gently sour on the palate, with those spices coming through brightly. We love the warmth on the finish. Quite sweet while it lasts, yet not cloying on the finish. Perhaps not as viscous as some, but we enjoyed the absence of perceptible thickener. A really pleasing and versatile ketchup in its gentle acidity and rounded warmth.'
'Beetroot is really on trend and beetroot ketchup is currently fashionable. We felt it was well balanced and tangy, a nice product to have with something smoked or as a dip. It is clean and fresh, and does justice to the beetroot, rather than swamping it with vinegar.'
Smoky Chipotle Ketchup:
‘This is certainly hot and smoky - the chipotle comes through strongly on the nose and the palate. It is definitely a barbecue sauce with punch. We think it lives up to its description. It is hot, it is smoky, but the depth comes through slowly and lingers and the sweetness enhances it. It has a long finish that remains warm and slightly sweet.’
South Carolina BBQ Sauce:
‘A lovely enticing smell to this sauce. It has a great consistency for marinating. We love the mustard and acidic elements married with the BBQ smokiness. We could see this working brilliantly with chicken. The balance of sweetness and acidity is just right.’
‘A lively zingy heat with citrus notes - very long lasting and quite multi-faceted. The fermentation lingers and keeps delivering on the back of the palate.'
'An attractive looking sauce. A lovely chilli aroma with an intense flavour which delivers a good punch. The flavours were well developed and balanced with a natural sweetness.'
