Time to add some smoke and heat... inspired by our very own first sauce recipe (Smoky Chipotle Ketchup), our Smoky Chipotle BBQ Rub is the perfect pairing for chicken, fish and pork. Great used as a coating for corn on the cob as well!
This is a sweet, smoky rub to be applied to the surface of meat, fish or veg before cooking. We've blended dried onion, garlic and spices with sugar to create a deliciously smoky seasoning.
What is Chipotle? Put simply, Chipotle are smoked and dried Jalapeno peppers. They are usually left to ripen on the vine longer than standard Jalapenos, so they have a sweeter flavour. They have an amazing spiced, almost woody flavour from the drying process, which we think is perfectly complimented by the sweetness in this rub.
